I would like to have a flat bottom piece too, but since I have a cap on my bed I wanted to have some extra stiffness instead of the easier slide in/out. I also like the extra tie down loops (I have the Total Chaos stiffeners), but if you want a stiffener you may as well get one that actually does what it is supposed too. Just the engineer in me.

I also am not totally convinced that stiffeners are needed but have seen some evidence they do indeed work for people who have a load on the tops of the bed sides as well as do some serious and bumpy off-roading like I do.

Not who you asked, but check out Swisstrax Ribtrax. Obsessed Garage has a big sale during Black Friday with free shipping. I've been very happy with mine.

    :101010:

I almost ordered the blue versions of those.

I installed the Morimoto X3B led 3rd brake light that I ordered from Cali Raised.
Ordered the one for the 2nd gen since I have an access cab 3rd gen.
It looks and works great. Only disappointed that the flasher module didn't show up too. (I did order it)
I'm sure that they will make it right.

Well, at least half of that is definite true. Source material and your head unit does matter a hugr alt, since you cannot amplify crap and make it good. Wiring in 12v is a funnier thing. Speaker wire is not so crucial at all. Optimally it will be actually copper, and for mids and highs under100 watts per channel, 14-16 ga is way more than sufficient. Low frequency 120hz and lower is the only thing you really benefit from having 12ga or larger speaker.

Added some pinstripes and light scratches today. We went to test out the suspension upgrade and took Rowher trail to Sierra Pelona and then Sierra Pelona down to Bouquet Canyon Rd. All the obstacles I was worried about were a non issue. However the rest of drive was spicy. With a side of a rock slide that required clearing and touchy-feely bushes.

The discussion was about home audio… I couldn’t care less about car audio. Improving audio components in a car is like polishing a turd, it’ll always be shit:crapstorm:
    Just my unpopular opinion.
Quality wire absolutely makes a huge difference in hifi

Crawl control requires an electric break pump to work with the software, non control vehicles get a manual brake pump.

Built a small platform for the fridge slide. This slide comes with a little table top extension which seems kinda cool. I have a feeling it will be the bartending station during the trip. This will be my first long trip with a fridge. First test fit pics.

I had to cut some slots in the rail anchors to still be able to use them. They wouldn’t clear the rail otherwise.

I've had a busy summer with Uncle Barry. most recently, i put in some bed lights that were super cheap from amazon. this was my first time messing with electrical (aside from swapping interior bulbs) and it was super easy. I'm using a soft tonneau cover so this is perfect for me.

I finally got some off-road time as well, camping off the grid in northern quebec. or is that called terrestre ?

007 tacoma. some adjustments might be needed. the intent is to be a "50' looker", but not be realistic up close. though i might still alter the background to something flat-black and UV-stable so the oem vent slats can't be seen.

Installed a Rough Country 3.5" lift yesterday. Took about seven hours as this was my first time doing any type of lift on my own. As you can see, the factor strut bushing was SHOT, it rides so much better now! I was a little worried about how the wheels and tires would look with this lift, but I'm pretty happy with it.

I agree and depending on your setup speaker wire can make a difference. I’ve done many side by side tests over the years .Some speaker wires will give you more bass and mids and some more highs depending on the gauge and how long the run. In my modest man cave setup I’m running a 10’ pair of Audioquest Rocket 33’s at a little over 900.00 for the pair and worth every penny in my book and to my ears. It’s a heavily debated subject touching on the good ole snake oil debate. But again to my ears and to many setups I’ve done A&B comparisons it makes a difference a long with the gauge of the wire even though they say heavy gauge is for longer runs I’ve noticed more bass with thicker gauge wire in a short run.
    My modest setup

Edit: My Audiophile cat agrees :) she’ll go to the middle of the room front stage and start looking around for all the new different sounds after any upgrades. Then she’ll go to her favorite spot on the couch and say Dad can you hand me the remote I’m really liking these new speaker wires :D

Finally got everything installed. The pita part was mainly the jacknuts. I had so many issues with them. The ones posted above didnt work. I ended up ordering a 25 pack 6m ones from Amazon and they worked. The dome light took a little bit of muscle to push it up. Lol
