Bot are quite clean frames. Auto is a one owner, manual a couple owners, but is in good shape. I read great things about the manual 4cyl on here, but for a single owner auto transmission with 50k less miles?

The 2nd gen AT is pretty tough. If you want a MT because you want to row gears then that plays into it. You might be staring at a new clutch soon depending on the previous drivers. That’s a cool $1K extra. If you don’t care I would get the AT then drain and fill it. It should last for another 100K miles.

Drive them both and let that decide. I've never driven a 4 cyl so I can't comment on how they would handle with either transmission.

To be honest I think a 5 speed vs 4 speed automatic the 5 speed is a better choice IF it still has cruise and doesn’t have 3+ owners.

I think the 5 speed is a little more drivable if you don’t have to do city stop and go.

While 90k & one owner is tempting, personally I prefer a 3rd pedal.

Love my 2.7l 5MT. Most reliable car/truck I’ve ever owned. I’m not sure I would still love the truck if it was an AT. I’m a fan of the engine/trans combo and wish it was still offered in a gen3.

Just bought a high mileage 2.7L manual and love it. Changing all the fluids as we speak

The auto has a dipstick, unlike the V6 variants or any 3rd gen.

If you lean that way, use it to easily visualize color and smell of the fluid.

Othe has a new clutch. Type and who installed it?
