Walmart selling Toyota OEM oil filters...

    i notice today wandering in the Walmart automotive aisle that Toyota OEM oil filters are being sold... these factory oil filters are situated on the very bottom shelf, so not a conspicuous location from a marketing standpoint ... note prices are high...

    Funny, me and my buddy went to Autozone yesterday to get some stuff for an 86 4runner he got. They also had OEM Toyota oil filters in stock, as well as Mopar, Ford Motorcraft, AC Delco, & genuine Honda oil filters. Prices are even higher at Autozone, $10.99 for a OEM Toyota filter.

    This was so strange to me, I wonder what's going on?

    i just picked up a case of ten engine oil filters (
    $55 90915YZZD3 Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)
    90915YZZD3) right now at Roseville Toyota (California) for $4.53 each... it's cheaper to order online than make a phone call or do a walk-in to the same parts department... i don't know why... also surprisingly other Toyota dealerships around the Sacramento area widely vary in price ... just do your homework for the best price... prior i bought a case at Auburn Toyota... before that at Maita Toyota...

    Oh yeah, forgot to mention, when I asked the kid working at the counter about them, like why & how long they've been selling them. He told me they've been selling them for a while but only for certain "models". He told me that they only carry the OEM ones for Lexus, Mopar, & Acura, they don't carry them for Toyota, Dodge, & Honda. :rofl:

    more buying options equates to a cheaper price ... good for everyone... or from a retail seller standpoint ... make many friends but lose a lot of money ... lol...
