Have a 2015 Tacoma v6 it sits the lowest out of all the models. Looking to do a 6 in full suspension rough country lift. Any one and any suggestions?

If you just want approximately 6" of total lift, you could do a 3" lift and then move from the factory tires to 32s or 33s. A 6" lift + tires to make it look proportional (usually 35s) is going to give you like 9-10 inches over factory. 6" will also usually require a drop bracket, so there's no turning back, unless you're 2wd and then you can do a 4" spindle lift + coilovers.

That's typically the case with any lift. Depends on your cab model, weight in/on your truck, etc.

    Don't.

IMHO it's not worth cutting a hunk out of your frame for a looker lift.

When time to sell your market will be quite limited.

One thing is I am not cutting the truck up I inherited this truck and it’s not going anywhere the rough country 6 inch suspension lift says nothing about cutting the frame.

Send the link to the kit here. I bet you it does. I'd do some solid research on this before ordering that kit.

Are you 2wd or 4wd? If 4wd you will absolutely be cutting the front crossmember

I would advise against going past 3in of lift. IF you do not do hard core off-roading.

If you are going past 3in you will be spending a lot on cutting and parts out of the wazoo on your truck.

    Don't do it.

Not sure of the finer specific details of your particular truck, (4x4, TRD, etc) but I have a 2014 4x4 double cab (stock) and it definitely doesn't "sit the lowest of all the models". Not even close. Maybe something else is going on with your truck: overloaded at some point? Towing a huge trailer? someone already modified it?.... (i.e.: lowered it)

Let’s ask the all important question.
    • What is your budget?
    • What do you plan on doing with your truck?
    • Do you plan on going off-road every weekend?
    • Do you plan on going once a month?
    • Do you plan on going rock crawling / dune bashing?
    • Do you plan on going heavy / hard core off-roading?
    • Is the truck going to be a pavement princess?
    • Is the truck a daily driver?
    • Is the truck a commercial/ work truck?
Your post #6 said “it’s not going to get wheeled”. Aka going not off-roading truck.
and on post #8 you have no desire to cut the truck / do heavy modifications

So let’s keep it inside those parameters in mind.

Keep it 3in lift and under, and you will meet Post#8 requirements.
You can go Bilstine 5100, new coils, and leaf pack, or similar product that can give you a fair lift, and it can get you on some easy/ moderate trails.

You can do spacer blocks up to 3in with Rough country shocks and springs, if budget is the Main limiting factor, and it keeps with post #6 since you do not plan to go off-road with it.

    The key thing is:
What is your requirements, and use case?

To each there own, nothing wrong with drop bracket lifts. They catch a lot of heat on the forums because he said she said. My only advice is if your gonna go 6"......do it right. Do your research. Look into different brands. Cheaper isn't always better. You get what you pay for.
