    2023 Tacoma Trail Edition Grey
20230728_175550.jpg Hello Taco lovers. I love to tacos too. Just bought my first taco. 2023 Trail Edition. I owned two FJ Cruisers before making the switch to a truck. So far I am very happy I made the switch. A truck better suits my lifestyle. And this truck is just so much better than my FJ in many ways. I really dig the Trail Edition. I knew I wanted a grey Tacoma and was thinking of getting a TRD Off Road. When I got to the dealer they didnt have one. But they had this grey Trail Edition and the bronze wheels and heritage grill grabbed my attention. When I got inside of it I really thought the all black interior was super cool too. Then I saw it had a rear locking differential and a factory lift and I was sold. I took it out for a test drive and it felt so perfect I just had to buy it. Three weeks later and I still love it. I cant wait to do some add ons to it. Since its kind of a bare bones truck, modding it should be easy.
Do you guys recommend getting the TRD LED headlights and fog lights? Or would you go aftermarket?
Also what are some of the best tri fold style removable tonneau covers? I may have to remove the bed storage boxes this truck came with but Im okay with that.
    Thanks in advance.
    -Jon

Welcome aboard. Great looking rig! Prepare for lots of opinions, recommendations and then travel points. Haha.

I’d say if money isn’t an option; get a diamond back tonneau cover.

if you still have money; LED lights are great but an HID upgrade will half of the money and allow from some nice additional lighting for fogs/ditch etc.

    Have fun!

Good looking truck. If I was in your shoes, I'd go aftermarket fog lights. I wouldn't get aftermarket headlights. Get the TRD LEDs if you're okay with springing for them. I think they're spendy.

Thanks guys. Im happy to be here. I do like the OEM TRD headlights but theyre like $1900 vs. $1000 for aftermarket. I dont think spending $1900 on headlights is economical. Just my opinion though.

agreed. Especially when you start thinking where else you can use that money to upgrade your truck. Looks great!
