Have someone (you trust with a good eye) drive behind you to check if the truck is crabbing.

 

That will do literally nothing to protect your truck in an accident.

 

I drove behind it and looked... It looks fine, but not going to risk it, just letting the shop do what they do.

 

I am, but don't have a garage anymore and if it comes down to something being bad under there, then insurance won't pay for it unless a shop finds it.

 

That is another thing.

I can relate as I have a garage but low clearance means nothing we own on 4 wheels can get in unless you count the lawn tractor

 

Update... Glad I decided to just take it to a shop!! PDF of the new estimate attached.
If they get the parts in time, I should have my truck back by October.

And now my poor truck sits in a shop half torn down, and waits for a frame to be shipped to them. They said 2-3 weeks. I have my doubts.

 

Not sure but I bet that's doable. Your frame is still in production so they just have to grab one off the line and ship.

Mine took 2 months because it's a 2nd gen regular cab, most of that was to actually build the frame. Even shipping it cross country (either CA or Mexico to MA) was quick.
