What edge protector stuff did you use on your cut bedsides? I don't like the stuff I used, it doesn't hold on well.

Back to a little wrenching and starting to do some needed maintenance on the old girl. Changed out my old seat brackets to some PRP brackets. My old seat brackets were straight up ghetto fab. :anonymous:

Also wrapped the hydraulic lines on the coil overs with a protective sleeve. I'm planning on relocating the remote reservoirs, but I want to wait until Winter before I start ripping into the truck for full KoH prep.

One day, but SAS is pretty far down the road right now. I'm really enjoying the IFS right now. The front end just flat out works beyond my every expectation. I'm just trying to have the rear keep up now so I can do both the go fast stuff and crawling.

I'll be curious to see how things compare when you have more travel in the rear. I think the biggest benefit to SAS at this point would be being able to run a larger tire and not have to have the cv / 7.5 front concerns.

13" front and aiming for 16/17" rear. Should perform a little better in the rocks (no more constant riding on bump stops), but it's going to wild to see the difference when I pickup the speed!

I think I could get performance similar in the desert, but the rocks would be a night and day difference being able to push the truck harder and down more technical obstacles without working about breaking. That being said, SAS would definitely take the fun out of some obstacles that I really like right now.

Are you planning on trailing arms to get that much travel in back?

Nope. 16" coilovers with a little bit of angle should net me around those travel numbers.

Interesting. Why not just do trailing arms/4 link and not deal with the shock shaft speed issues, axle swing, and possible driveshaft plunge issues that come with a 3 link on a 1:1 motion ratio setup like that?

4link requires moving the fuel cell and that's a biiiiiig no-no in CA

F150 tank swap, filled through the stock fill door with EVAP provisions plumbed in is pretty well known to pass smog fine unless something has changed that I don't know about in CA.
