    Differential Breather Mod Light Bar: 4 Cree LED lamps Bilstein 5100s Ride Rite Air Bags
    While I did own a First Gen 4x4, and a 2005 Second Gen, I never did the mod (or even knew it needed one). It was my second (2010) 2nd Gen Tacoma that was driven through deep, muddy water (when it was only 6 months old) when the problem was realized. Milky diff oil!
    For your First Gen, I would prefer the tail-light location. Why? Well, there is an obvious chance for gasoline to splash when fueling or pulling out the nozzle. No chance of such contamination if the breather is behind the tail-light lens, right?

    I didn't read every page, but I read a lot. It seems the parts for the diff breather have been figured out and settled.

    However, there's several references to the breather for the e-locker but I didn't see if that uses the same parts, or if there may be different sizes of things involved?

    Would be great to know before I order if I can just double up on everything.

    Locker breather is the size of vacuum line. Just get right sized line and extend it

    A couple of rear window decals...
    I don't believe there is any difference between the 8" and 8.4" diffs, just mount it up as high a you can.

    Those are cool. It's been many years since I did my breather mod, but I think you can still get the parts listed at the beginning of this tread for a lot less than those ARB products.

    Yes, they already have a short extension line and are terminated on the firewall about even with the valley of the engine block. (At least they are on the 3rd gens)
