Will this stuff work for a small valve cover gasket leak. I plan on fixing it and ordered the parts but wanted to throw this in to see if it will help the leak stop while I wait.

I would not use high milage products in your engine or trannys.....

    unless you really need it....

These work by swelling your seals inside your engine.

For some in your end days, you may have no choice...

but all seals will swell in the engine.......not just the ones you want...

    eventually pre-mature wear.....

Same on ATF, dont use high mileage unless your already dripping...

As a stop gap measure, you can tighten down the valve covers but be sure not to exceed the torque spec for them - 53 inch pounds - not foot pounds (for the 3.4L, not sure on the 2.4/2.7).

Edit: This will only apply if the leak is on the seal. If it's on the plugs or 1/2 moons, you're SOL.

Valve cover gasket leaks don't hurt anything. You'll get a bit of smoke once it starts to drip down onto the exhaust manifold, but there's no reason to use a snake oil treatment if you're planning to do the gasket job anyway.

    IF 2.4L\2.7L
Only 1.1hrs book time for installation
As wrenching jobs go, this is a 2 out of 5 in difficulty (easy IMO)
    Plenty videos out there
Plan on 2-2.5hrs if u never done b4
Need gasket set(with plug seals/10 bolt seals/washers)/half moons/rtv tube sealant. Approx $25-$45 of parts(depending where you buy)

wouldn’t use miracle fluid for valve cvr gasket

At worst, likely only a $250-$300 job at a shop

You know while your in there......golden opportunity to check the valve clearances...

I damn sure wouldnt miss the opportunity...

All thats needed is an $8 bent edge filler gauge..

dealers charge $400 to $800 to do that....

    I'd say a 3 on scale 1 to 10.....

This. It's not a big deal to leak a lil oil. Keep an eye on your level and get the job done as soon as you're able.
