Got a 2023 TRD Sport 4x4 Double Cab Short Bed. Upgraded from a 2017 VW Jetta. My Jetta was stick but I didnt go manual with the new Tacoma, I do miss that but not unhappy at all with my choice!

I got a Tacoma as I wanted a mid-sized truck to do some occasional towing with, and have been really happy with it so far! It also enabled me to clean out some old furniture in my garage that had been unable to be moved in any of my old cars! I live in a city so I didn't want to go with a used full size pickup, and midsize SUVs didn't meet my needs.

I have the REDARC Liberty Brake Controller getting delivered today and am really excited about it. It towed my friends trailer just great last weekend. It is a 6.5x14 ft trailer with a 7ft internal height. Once we load it up it should come in in the 3k-3.5k range

The Tacoma has been awesome, quite enjoy driving it. So so many more creature comforts compared to my Jetta, which was a base model. Loving CarPlay, and all the Toyota safety features. About to hit 1k miles this weekend! Its a beautiful truck. I am leasing it so no planned mods for now. But maybe in the future!
