We tried... We hope the solid waste company empties the compactor tomorrow morning before anybody shows up... Custodian Bob thought he was throwing in a heavy wood shop cart, but nothing happened. Pulled it out and we learned the fiberboard shelves were mounted to a steel frame, so it's at the curb, hoping someone grabs it. Two more work days, then back to 4-hour nights Tuesday. We did manage to give it a workout, up to 2200 psi, and the bolts and steel top plate didn't shake. Enjoying rain and thirty degrees cooler weather (mid-60s, closer to our ages)...

ha! Glutton for punishment! Sounds like a blast.

very unusual occurrence: temps near 60, windows open, the dog, who’s going through chemo, didn’t wake me up to have diarrhea, and I didn’t set my alarm! All on the same day! Man I’m gonna annoy the crap outta everyone today, gonna be awesome.

Picked up the second ninja today. A bit rougher, needs a few parts, but I paid the same amount as the last one. We'll see how this goes.

How'd it go? Were you tempted to drag the hang glider up and give it a shot?

Not as bad as we expected things to be but thats not saying much. Already told Mark but hubs and I both got tagged by wasps, fuckers had condos built all up under the nooks and crannies. It was a battle all day with the little bastards.

I hope you both didn't get stung but once, which is bad enough. Before Mom and Dad passed, I drove over and Dad and I picked plums from a prolific tree next to his new shop ("new" means until another shows up). He was smart, picking from the ground while I used the ladder, moving around to avoid the horde. Wasps were attracted to Mom, persistent so Dad and I had to be persistent to get her to go back to the house. Dad and I didn't get tapped, but I can't forget my first stream survey with the USFS, crawling through brush on the Palouse District near Harvard, Idaho (hands and knees, dragging a fiberglass tape). Brent was following me and I evidently passed under a wasp nest during my crawl and he jostled it and got tagged in passing. The next day, I got nailed in the elbow by a bald faced hornet, and spent the rest of that day trying to keep my arm in cold water as we went. The only life we saw while crawling for a week was a glimpse of brown hair on an animal ahead. Yeah, looking up to catch a glimpse of a cow on that allotment... <G>
