So I was doing a couple of donuts in this gravel lot when I was leaving I was driving around 15MPH and I saw this grass hill and tried to drive around it. I didn't think it was a big deal and it was only maybe a foot tall at most, but it ended up causing the tire to pop off of its bead causing it to roll the truck onto its ceiling. I thought insurance was gonna give me money for it but I had basic coverage and they just gave me the truck back. I really don't have any money for a new one and am still paying my dad back for this one. I inspected everything, drove it, and everything still operates perfectly. It drove how it used to and I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions to get it legal on the road, The roof supports and roof are bent causing it unable to have a windshield and that's the main issue I need to tackle. Hopefully soon I can be dairying it again if anyone has any suggestions.

Bummer, you could make it a convertible or take the front seats out and use a floor jack and a piece of a 4x4 block of wood. It might get it straighter, but will not totally fix it.
Do the doors open and close correctly, driver and passenger?

Both doors open, the passenger doesn't open all the way, and the driver one you need to slam it to fully close

A buddy of mine did something similar. After rolling it, he got in the truck, kicked and punched the roof to straighten it the best he could. Took it to a guy with heavy duty tools, bondo'd the crap out of it, put in new windows and drove it another 50,000 miles.

BTW, where I'm from people just say they rolled it and thank God they didn't get the DUI.

That's a tough one. It looks like you're sitting on a donor vehicle for someone elses project and you are new vehicle shopping. You kind of need a windshield. Hopefully dad can work with you on the debt.

He only had liability insurance so he didn't submit it to the insurance company. There was never a chance it would get totaled. To get home, a bunch of people helped push the truck back over, he kicked out the windshield and drove it. He fixed it JUST ENOUGH to drive it. He didn't care that it was all dented up. I think he would replace parts if he found them cheap, a quarter panel here... a door there.

    Parts truck now
I’d buy it for use on the beach or farm, just weld up a cage, throw out the carpet and punch drain holes in the floor

What State do you live in? That will make a big difference in getting it road legal.

Hard to be sure with just pics but it looks like your big problem is the front windshield and getting a new windshield on it.

Looks to me to be a part-out and buy another.

So....I actually have a little experience with this lol. We used an engine cherry picker on the most stout setting and stuck it in the cab and pumped until the roof was roughly where it needed to be on both sides, then a sledgehammer and big deadblow was our best friend. We were able to get it to receive a windshield again.

Cold hard truth is, if the ins. Co. totaled it then that means it cannot be made road legal again without a salvage or rebuild title, in either case that requires an on-site roadworthiness and safety inspection prior to issuance.

I’m afraid it’s a cut loss at this point unless you build an off-road vehicle (not road legal) or title it as a farm use vehicle for use on your private land only (also not road legal).

Now you need a new car. Go cheap and reliable, drive it responsibly.

In the long run you can make good with your dad, settle things somehow and move on.

Unpopular opinion: I would not recommend trying to fix that, unless you have a shop do it correctly. If a shop did the repair would be well over $10k.

I say don't fix it because if you ever roll over again it's not going to protect you as well as it did this time. Even if you make it straight enough for a windshield, it won't be a safe vehicle to drive.

wrecking yards can be a lucrative business... if you part a vehicle out correctly it can be up to ten times its value... part out here... part out there... you have to be patient...

Sooooooo we never reported it to insurance because it was done on a gravel back road and as far as inspections, we don't have those. I will mirror what other people said though, the roof integrity is compromised after rolling like that so you are taking a risk if you continue to drive a vehicle with a fixed roof.

Well that's fortunate lol, but I'm gonna try what you said maybe, and if it works attempt to get it registered, if not part it out, it's worth a shot I guess.
