    Hello all,

Any do's or do not's I should know about as a first time Tacoma owner? I just ordered a 2023 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab. Have always wanted one and finally got my chance. It will be delivered to the dealer at the beginning of October.

Welcome to TW! Biggest thing is if you live in a state where they salt the roads in the winter you are going to want to coat your frame in Fluid Film or cosmoline. That should help keep your frame in good shape for many many years to come!

Hey welcome man. Super excited for you. It all depends on what you want to do with it and the environments you are going to be in. Always recommend recovery boards if it’s muddy or sandy where you’re taking it. Stock up on bungie cords or straps. I got a carhart attachment for the back of my seat that can hold a bunch of useful stuff that’s nice to have in the cabin.

Welcome to the Tacoma fam! Preventative maintenance is the key to long life with a Toyota. Change that oil every 5K (not the 10K the factory recommends) and stay on top of the other maintenance items, and this truck will give you many years of reliable service! Most importantly though, enjoy it. These trucks are so much fun to modify and tinker with, and the possibilities are endless!
