Gauging Interest - Steel Cat protection from Talons Garage

I’d be interested in a steel plate, especially at the $250 price point. Is there any chance of you guys doing a gray powdercoat to match the TRD front skids if these go to production?

I have had a whole bunch of 3/16 steel plates I cut out months ago wanting to send out to get powder coated. I ended up ripping off the banded and am tackling the powder coat process in house. For the most part, the plates have come out of powder coat looking really good, and we don't know how much longer we are going to do the sale. We also only have a few of these older plasma cut plates as we have upgraded to laser cutting now so I think these will go quick.

Being 3/16" steel, these plates are going to be just as strong as any other off road skid plate on the market. The same great coverage you have learned to love from us, and at a great price!

Ok, so the plate arrived today, and I've just finished installing it.

Overall, fantastic piece of fabrication. Fitment is spot on, and installation is direct bolt-on.

I was looking at the caliraised cat cover, but they didn't have one that worked with the 6MT. This provides much more armor coverage and is priced competitively. 100% recommended and thank you!

 

I've had your aluminum CAT plate on my Tacoma for about a year now so I can only imagine what a tough customer your steel plates would be to try to defeat.
It's in the garage every night and although I live out here in Bumfuk Kansas without a neighbor for miles and you can't even see my place from the gravel road I still feel better knowing it's there when I have to go to town or the city. The shitbags are cutting them off in the middle of the day in Hospital parking lots, Lowes, hell just about anywhere.
But I just don't worry about it because you folks make one hell of a good product...Thanks!

 

We are cutting more steel plates out today, and hope to have them powder coated and back in stock late this week or early next week!

We are also cutting some 2wd and 2nd gen plates as well.

I haven't got down there to change my own oil in a really long time. Does this shield block the drain area for oil changes?

If I remember right it won't be a problem

 

It will not be in the way of the engine oil change.
