2023 Trd off-road purchased in June why is paint missing on pinch weld?

My paint is generally good. No rock chips down to paint except for self inflicted damage. I buffed and polished it when I first got it, it could use it again but it’s lived outside 50% of the time for the last 4 years. I will polish and re ceramic coat it next month. I do have paint peeling inside the fender though. Kinda bummed but kinda expected it.

 

doubt it, it’s taken 10 years for my boots and shoes to wear the paint down on my door sill

 

Spoke with service manager and they said it is definitely an issue that will need to be addressed and repainted. They are sending to their regional for approval. Will keep everyone posted.

I black rattle canned mine. Someone else had done that and I liked it. Also black paint upstream from the black exhaust tip for a couple of feet

 

Yikes! I’ve noticed a decline in fit and finish for sure as well from my 20 to 22 as well as all the problems you see here and other Toyota forums, wifes new RX had a busted trim piece within a month. Toyota of before is sadly no more it feels like these days. Can’t wait for the 4th gen issues, those guys are in total denial and it’s not even here yet. Definitely reach out to Toyota.
