    Anyone have experience with these?
Part # TAC-AL I was about to pull the trigger on icon add a leaf, but YouTube shows that setup requires cutting. The toytec system seems extremely easy to install. Trying to lift rear around 1.5”.

For those who installed this, did you also buy a shim? If so, what shim is needed?

The only cutting required for the Icon AAL is to cut off the head of a rivet. Sure, it's inconvenient, but a progressive AAL (Icon/Headstrong) are going to provide a superior ride over a single AAL such as the Toytec one that you have linked.

I had one in on my first attempt at a lift with toytec all around and the AAL. It was such a harsh ride in back that I got a whole leaf pack. Save money and get the pack rather than try that first unless you have a bit of weight in the rear which helps smooth out the AAL. Also, not sure what your plans are for using your truck which could make a difference in the direction you go with the set up.
