Yes, smoke setting entire time, this took about 3.5 hrs
Initially it went up to about 220* then settled down to 160*
Just thought there was a way to maintain a desired temp!
How do you bring up temp, put it on grill?

Are you trying to smoke it so it’s preserved smoked salmon or cook it for dinner with just some added smoke flavor? The answers vary drastically between the two options.

No, just wondering if there was a way to set the temp on the smoker setting to a desired temp, watched a few recipes and they
said to put it on 170* for an hr, then increase to 180* for two hrs, but I'm not seeing an adjustable dial for smoke setting!
As you can see I'm new to smoker grill, for 30 years I've been turning on the propane and cooking till burnt and favorable :) or charcoal

Depending on the smoker the controller will move temp up in increments with each click. Some as low as 5 degrees. Though the smaller portable smokers seem to fluctuate a bit. Play around with it and see. Sounds like your smoke setting likes to hang out around 160. Try next setting and see where it goes from there. You can also add a pan of ice or water to help regulate the temperature if needed.

Entry: getting the fire ready to cook some sausages on a motocamping trip to Mesa Verde National Park. It was between this and a picture of the granola bar I left in my pocket to warm up before eating on a hike. I forgot to take any pictures of the two times I grilled this week.
