Hey, @Diode Dynamics random question. Just bought a pair of these for my motorcycle, wasn't thinking, and bought the light duty harness too. The wasn't thinking part is that I didn't think of how long the harness would be. Y'all don't make a shorter motorcycle harness, do you? I'm fine cutting down the longer one but figured it'd be worth checking somewhere first.

@Diode Dynamics is there any issue mounting the SSC1 SAE/DOT lights upside down?

I tested them on my front bumper and the beam pattern appears the same if you mount them right side up or upside down?
I also opened up one of the lights and flipped the TIR optic to see if it made any difference and there’s no visual difference that I can see.

I also don’t recall seeing any notches (although I could be wrong) on the TIR optic that were photographed and posted earlier on this thread where you mentioned needing to file them down if you’re changing the orientation of the optic? I was able to flip it with zero issues, literally took two seconds and it sealed up perfectly.

I guess my main question is, if these SAE lights are being mounted upside down, should you flip the TIR lens or does it not matter?

I saw some guy on the Bronco forums mounted SAE SS2s upside down and his beam pattern looked okay for the most part but the cutoff started to curve up towards the sides as opposed to being dead straight when the light is mounted conventionally. He fixed the issue by flipping the optic. I wasn’t sure if this is necessary with the SSC1s.
