Thanks! Its more of a quiet "tension-creak" if that makes sense... not a squeak. And only happens when I lift the front passenger up on a bank when the truck is flexing. So if I'm not getting any contact on the springs/coilover... would it be useless to get the relocation kit? Or is it beneficial for range of movement? Its only $30... so if I want to keep my sway bar in I'm wondering if I should just install it.

At $30, it'd be a cheap thing to test, but even cheaper is to add grease to the bushing. That'll help you see if it even is the swaybar that's causing the noise.

The sway bar debate is ongoing here. Yes, you get better articulation off-road without it, but the body roll you would experience on-road is subjective to your driving style and driving conditions. When I originally lifted my truck I kept the sway bar since most of my daily commute takes me through winding mountain roads. During some routine maintenance, I decided to remove it and see for myself how I liked it. I reinstalled it a week later. Wasted a little time, sure, but I had real world experience now to make my own decision instead of believing what I was reading on the internet. I have since tuned my suspension and swapped a few parts around to the point where I no longer need it, but it was a learning process along the way. Food for thought.

I was using one when I had the swaybar in because the new coilovers would contact it otherwise. It's in my parts bin now next to the swaybar.

Dose anyone know if the Tacoma sway bar relocation kit fit a Tundra (2014 4x4 Crew Max)? My sway bar ends contact my bottom cups on my King coil overs and online i have ordered two sets of what they say are relocation brackets but all they are is drop blocks. Anyone got an ideal?
    Thanks all

I can't tell you why they're different, but for some reason the relocation brackets are model specific. They look the same to me, but the manufacturers say they aren't.

    :notsure::notsure::notsure:

I'm guessing you want one that pushes both down and forward, like this:

I have 6112s and Bilstein UCAs. The swaybar would hit the spring in full articulation without the relocation kit. I put one in and now there is no issues whatsoever.
I too considered removing the swaybar permanently but on the road unless you're used to it or pulling a trailer it can be quite the experience.

Same. Though the 6112 install sheet says it doesn't need a relo, I relo'd anyway. It seems to do better with it.

Plus, the brackets I bought came with like 6 stickers. Stickers are cool. :anonymous:

PS, the 6112s with sway bar in are everything the Sport should have been. Man that's some amazing road feel.

I just ran a decent trail up the backside of Palomar to the fire tower as a test and it is night and day from my 5100s. Period

Hey guys did you do the drop brackets to relocate the mount or an actual relocation bracket to push it forward a bit? If so what brand or where did you ordered it from?
    Thanks

Question with sway bar brackets orientation. I have a 2021 and I installed a relocation kit which I noticed the brackets had L and R but no arrows, does that mean you can mount it either way? Not talking about switching sides of the brackets just the orientation.

No sure side matters, but with the relocation brackets the sway should be pushed forward while being spaced down to clear the suspension components better.

That said, I ripped mine off shortly after installing the lift. Rides so much better with it gone.

So the picture above the brackets have an arrow pointing towards the front of truck but I guess newer models don’t have that marking. Idk if it matters and I’ll probably take out the sway bar anyway see how it feels. I daily mine

Oh you mean the actual brackets for the sway bar itself, not the relocation blocks. It's been a while but I believe those are side specific and that the bar should slide forward when installing so the open end on those brackets that surround the bushings would face the front.
