Broke my oil filter housing, is it ok?

Well, broke a tab off the oil filter housing on my 2023 2.7l the very first oil change
The filter was unbelievably tight and when it finally let go my strap wrench somehow hit the tab and snapped it off.
To me it doesn’t look like it is really going to cause a problem, in fact i dont even know what the tab is for, but is there any reason you guys think i need to replace it or be concerned ??

On the ground looking up, did you turn the filter left or right to remove?

I don't know why that tab is there

 

Shouldn't be an issue.

Haven't figured out why it's there in the first place, however, I haven't given it much thought either.
