    Not sure, maybe Bobby?

Basically, I foolishly bought the extended service coverage. Bought the truck in July '21. Just now have 20k miles on it and brought it in for the free 20k service. He said because I bought it July 1st, and it's now July 28th, that free maintenance period has passed, so they're doing the 30k maintenance (covered under the extended I bought), meaning I miss out on one of the free services.

I know, and I wasn't mad with him, I just wanted to make sure I understood it. He was just really defensive out of the gate.

Unfortunately, it’s a learned response. They get bashed, yelled at, so to try to avoid it, they
    Go into “defense mode”.
I can understand it. Nothing personal…

You have had better luck than I. My experience was the exact opposite. I bought some clips based upon what they recommended and life got busy and I did not get a chance to install them for a good 6 months. Went to install them and they had given me the wrong parts. I brought them back to get them exchanged for the right parts. They disappeared out back for 45 minutes while I waited at the counter. They only came back when I inquired about what was going on. It was the manager who I asked for an update(no idea of his name). I explained what was going on again to him and that I had waited 45 minutes. He told me that they could not identify the right clips I needed so I asked for a refund. He told me that the return time limit had expired and they could not take them back. Two clips for about $12 that they assured me were correct when I bought them they would not take back. I told them to keep the clips and that they would not see me purchasing any parts from them again. I have not been back to the parts counter since then. We did buy a 2021 Highlander from them with an extended service package so we do go there for service but I will still not go in the parts department.

And if you ever do have your car serviced by them and you drop it off after hours make sure there is a lock on the key drop box and that it is actually locked. We went to drop our vehicle off for service the next day after the dealership had closed and when we went to put our keys in the drop box there was no pad lock on it. And there were customer keys in the drop box! No one answered the phone at the dealership(no answering service) so we had to call the local police so they could come down to avoid having someone steal the customers cars that people had left the keys to.

And I cannot say that our service experience has been stellar. We have to tell them each time we bring in the Highlander that we have the service package and there is no charge. And even then we often have to tell them again when we pick it up because they present us with an invoice with a payment due. It should be pretty easy to put a note on the account.

About to pull the trigger on lift from Headstrong (5100s, 2888s & AAL) and have a couple Qs for the community:

    1) Anyone have a needle bearing puller I can borrow/rent (happy to pay cash or beer) &/or care to help install?

    2) Any one interested in helping? I solo installed an identical lift on my prior 3rd gen but always nice having a hand and meeting like minded folks.

    TIA

Anyone interested in a full set (4) TRD OR wheels off a '21 w/ 35k on them. TPS valves included and tires already removed. Located in Bar Harbor but often in Central Maine. Lugs included.

Went to a fishing spot one weekend and saw a moose right on the golden rd, then saw rip dam for the first time ever. Went to the trains the weekend after that, and saw big eagle as smooth as it’s ever been. They’ve done some work on the tramway as well. 0E624E4F-74AB-4401-AE28-8233D59D125E.jpgA3795361-1369-4356-87F1-5C8A76834E61.jpg53E03BC9-AB99-4F4E-9DFC-A8209C34FB6A.jpgBCE890D4-3158-4719-9506-4EDFAA5839D2.jpg

    Good morning,

I am heading up the Rangeley area for the weekend. We love to get off the pavement and explore the dirt and logging roads. Any recommendation some cool routes, rides or things to see that are off the beaten path? I just want to get my truck dirty, see some cool things and maybe even find a partridge or two.

I've got my Delorme and there are tons of miles of dirt up that way. Where are the best views? Cool things to see? Areas of interest etc?

    Thank you all!

Where do you fellow Mainers dispose fluids: oil, ATF, brake fluid, anti-freeze?
I looks like AutoZone will accept oil, but nothing else. Wondering about the other fluids or perhaps someone has a one stop drop for everything.
    I'm in the Augusta area.
