    Just curious if anyone has modified a newer Gen Tacoma bed step to work with our first Gens?

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    I never modified any Just built my own !

    The first one was for my 86 4x4 pick up.

    I just used the receiver Hitch made a insert to slide made it long so I could adjust the height easy.

    Keeping the tail gate closed.

    Designing and building something to fold up would not be to hard just more expensive.

    They don't make one for the 1st Gens.
    Yes, I know they sell cheaper ones there, that's what I would use.
