Keyless entry

Hey guys. I have a 1997 tacoma sr5. Wanted to know how to check or if my truck came with keyless entry? Thanks in advance!

 

By 'keyless' I suppose you mean lock/unlock with the fob. First question is do you have power windows & locks?

 

Yes sir to be able to use the fob. Yes i do have power locks and windows

 

I'm no expert on the early year model Tacomas, but it would seem if you have that, it would have come with a fob originally. Hopefully the electronics gurus on TW will chime in.

If you got a 97 you'll most likely have the rs3000 (model 08190-00921) instead of the rs3200. Here's a quick check according to an old manual I have.
