Took my dog out for his evening poop.

I get 1/4 way down my street and here gunfire - 1 then maybe 8 more . . . .
WTF
It is dark out and it just sounds like someone emptied a magazine..
I kept walking - no commotion, no yelling, nada
So hopefully I don't see some crime scene tape tomorrow morning!!

I'm used to the gunfire during the day - doesn't phase me but this shit sounded a bit closer than normal and its fucking Sunday night+dark out..

 

There is ZERO reason for me to hear gunfire here, so that would freak the shit out of me or the wife. Especially if walking the dogs. There have been occasions where we thought it MAY have been gunfire, but rationalled out of it.

Stay safe and hopefully it wasn’t anything serious. Pictures or it didn’t happen…

 

There should be zero reasons for me to hear gunfire at night..

I got a few neighbors that have a safe firing line - into the large hill behind em.
Every now and again I hear them dump a magazine or two..
One time I was walking the dog parallel to their safe firing line and I was pretty close - - they dumped two magazines and then stopped at least..

There is also someone further away that goes out and shoots an AR once in a while for about 30 min..
And come deer season - I'll hear that rifle fire at sunrise pretty consistently


I'm back inside so I'm good!
We shall see if I see anything tomorrow morning..

 

No reason for that, there may be a couple of chalk lines tomorrow....

I owe, I owe, to work I go….
Just found out I got friends visiting Katmai in Alaska… watching brown bears. Apparently it’s raining (haha, I already had the weather reports from @MQQSE ) for 12 hours at a time.
Work won’t be so bad after all… it’s almost the same.

 

Update: After doing some research, both here on TW and other internet sites, I went and bought a new battery on Saturday. Installed it as soon as I got home, and then took the truck to run some errands. Seems to have worked perfectly. Only think I noticed was the "Trip A" odometer got reset to 0.0 miles, and my "You have X miles until empty" calculation also got reset back to "maximum" as if I had just filled the fuel tank. Everything else seemed perfectly normal.

Most people complain of the radio presets being wiped.

 

Good point. I am that oddball person, in that I have never ever listened to AM/FM/XM radio in my truck the entire 6+ years I have owned it. There are no radio stations that play anything I have any interest in. I only ever listen to the music library on my iPhone LOL. I've never programmed any radio station presets. And the phone connectivity info was still there, so I didn't even think about that.

 

I have a college radio station I’ll listen to on rare occasions, but I live via Bluetooth randomizing Apple Music’s entire library. I’ll never run out of selections - however, there are literal holes in their library.
