My wife absolutely loves Florida. I absolutely hate it. Too hot, humid & rainy for this fat boy. She was on a 10day girl's trip to the Florida Keys last month, she had a blast. Last time I was there it was years ago in January, I stll sweated my ass off. I couldn't wait to get back to the winter weather.

It's just too busy here for me. Getting anywhere takes forever. It certainly has its ups and downs.

None of those on the gulf really. Mostly little house geckos and anoles. Derpy little guys, leave the porch light on and they will chase down the moths. Pretty neat. My mom lives down in Ft. Lauderdale, the street dragons are insane down there, worse than stray cats

Funny you say that… I’ve been debating having my roof wrapped as well. Always thought a white roof would be cool. Pay a little tribute to the old LC’s. Not to mention, save the roof pain from sun bleaching!

How much does it cost to wrap an entire vehicle these days? Last time I checked it was the same as just getting a new paint job.

I called and asked a place a couple years ago when I bought my truck and they gave me a rough estimate of $4K. I immediately said thank you and bye lol

Yea I wanted to do that forest green or red on mine. I'd pay $1200 but 4000 I can literally just get the truck resprayed. Insane

Maybe @boogie3478 got his truck rewraped after an accident or checked prices.

All depends on what type of vehicle and what type of wrap. A small panel van may be a ton cheaper to have wrapped for a company than wrapping a Ferrari with many lines and creases to get perfect. Then the material… I’ve seen DIY wrap kits that didn’t look half bad you can get for probably $1k. And then you have one off custom chameleon color changing wraps and colored chrome wraps. We have a Lexus IS running around town with a chameleon wrap on it. Sure that was a couple grand. I got a quote years ago for wrapping two mid fairings on my Yamaha R1 and they wanted over $500 for just red vinyl. Now a days I could have them done for like $200. I’d definitely get my roof done, as long as it’s no more than like $300 drip rail to drip rail.

Speaking of repainting. Can't remember if I shared it here or not. I bought this little 2.4 last year for a work vehicle for my business. Had 150k on the clock. Outside was pretty thrashed but the inside looked almost factory.

This is literally auto paint enamel in a can from Amazon and a coat of clear coat.

Thanks, of course when you get right up on it you will notice some imperfections but no big deal. I run a small powerwashing business out of it. Little truck is quite the little moutain goat. First gen trucks are just such a joy to drive.

Great job on that transformation! I had a little dark blue 2wd 93 yota pick up for a daily. I traded a generator for it. It needed timing chain tensioner guides. I replaced the guides & tc. 22re 5sp ice cold ac, great little truck. Easy to load my dirtbikes into too because it sat so low. I was getting like 30mpg's. Great truck but I needed a 4x4 so I sold it. I agree about the 1st gens, they are fun to beat around in.

This is awesome! I love me a 5 lug 1st Gen. Been looking for a standard cab 2wd for a couple years now, or even a pre-Tacoma Toyota SR or SR5 truck. Wanted to get a fairly decent shape rollin chassis for a project truck to work on with my son. Always dreamed of a JDM mini truck with a 1JZ swap outa an early Supra. Would be a blast to rip around in! But prices are ridiculous on early Yota’s right now…

Surprisingly I scooped this up for $3000. This thing scoots. My most enjoyable time is when the bed is completely empty and I can just zip around in it.

$3k is amazing! All the ones that I’ve found, that would be great project trucks… ie, not a rust bucket or need full-out body panels replaced are still in the $7-12,000. And finding a rolling chassis, being a Toyota makes that all but impossible… those old 22R’s are all but bulletproof!! Just keep oil in them and they’ll never leave you stranded.
