Is the CLOCK below the radio working?

Not trying to be funny or anything, but on our 2nd Gen Tacos, the “clock display area” also shows the PASSENGER side airbag. If that whole assembly RIGHT BELOW the stereo is not reconnected, the Air Bag light will come on because the ECU doesn’t see the passenger side air bag, so it throws the light on.

    Make sure is connected properly.

    Hope that is the problem.

I'll echo checking both fuse boxes, inside and underhood. I've had shops tell me there's only one so it's not uncommon to miss I guess?

I have the Haynes manual, I can check if it has wiring schematics if you like

If the passenger seat didn't have the proper weight, the air bag light was always on. Thus means the airbags are not going to go off if in a collision. ;) If there was enough weight on the seat, all airbags are loaded and ready to go off. This was how my 07 was configured.

Sure. But also, if the clock is DISCONNECTED, it will make the air bag light to illuminate. Is all I’m saying.
