So I replaced my DTRL light and, I'm assuming it wasn't in tight enough when I put it in but it fell inside the housing, just curious as to what my next plan of action should be. If I separate the housing from the screw holes along the backside of the headlight, what are the chances that the seal is ruined?

Done this a few times. Take the light off the truck and hold it upside down and shake it. Should fall out

OP, you can either remove the headlight as suggested and shake it until it falls out or get it close to the opening or use a flexible claw grabber pickup tool long reach curve spring grip.

Similar thing just happened in the right headlight lens of my 2012 Tacoma, noticed it while detailing the truck after taking it home from the dealer after it's frame replacement last week (well actually ihe job took the last five weeks). Saw the little amber side marker bulb adrift in the bottom of the headlight lens housing, apparently it came loose during or after the truck reassembly process. Weird thing is that the following day it was gone, have no idea how it could have escaped once it was down in the bottom of the lens. Dealer service rep doesn't know either!

    Frame replacement??
That must have been hugely expensive or was it part of the frame?

Frame was replaced on Toyota’s nickel through the frame rust frame
replacement recall program. The original frame wasnt in very bad condition but a rust through condition was found on the right side frame
rail that was considered severe enough to qualify for the new frame. Only cost me was about 130 dollars for some odd bits of hardware that was not included in the frame replacement parts package and my request to have them install a new serpentine belt upon putting everything back together. The old belt at 108K was actually in pretty good shape but since it had to be taken off when pulling the engine and transmission it made sense to just replace it with a new one.

    During the frame
replacement they had to pull the
front grille and headlight assemblies separately from the rest of the cab.

Service manager said it would have cost me 12K dollars if not covered by the recall.

By the way, the wayward side marker bulb has yet to re-appear inside the headlight
lens, looks like it made a clean getaway!

Yes the entire frame was replaced, the replacement package also included new front end lower control arms, bushings and ball joints, and virtually all of the metal brake lines including those in the engine bay associated with the ABS control
valve, and a whole lot of new frame attachment brackets and fasteners. Complete replacement of engine coolant, and recharge of the A/C system. The truck was completely disassembled and reassembled onto the new frame. There a lot of good stop motion videos of the Tacoma frame replacement process on YouTube.
