    Welcome back!

I tried to catch you a spotless giraffe this morning but remembered I didn’t have your new address to ship it to.

Everything at once. Local tax quartly payment, septic pumping needing done, now a pest inspection...

This adult thing sucks. Owning a house is nice and aggravating all in one!

My kids blame me for being an adult...
Or, you could be me, and find out that your wife changed the insurance coverage a bit (added a vehicle) and somehow the insurance company debited our account, for all insurance coverage for all vehicles, home and misc, for the entire year. So now we paid for everything in one month. She told me to watch my spending this month.

We got ahold of our financial guy a few weeks ago to take this semesters money out of the kids 529 account. Rent was coming due and tuition right behind it so we paid it before getting the check.

My wife called yesterday - there was a "glitch" and the check was never mailed out.

    :annoyed:

Throw the new fridge in there for good measure, and I agree, @Delta09 - adulting sucks!

Ironically my fridge took a dump a couple months ago. It could have been fixed, but despite cleaning it to no end it was still caked in nicotine stain inside and out. Bit the bullet and bought a nicer new one with an ice maker/water. That made me redo some plumbing as well. Never ending! :annoyed:

I do however love the ice maker... :anonymous:

Before I moved to SC, my home for 30 years was a fixer upper from day 1.
It has three full baths. In my infinite wisdom, I remodeled and replaced all three at one time. Guess what wore out at one time for the next 30 years?

But homeownership is such a joy. Funny story, when I bought my first home. I had owned it for about two months when while giving a tour to a buddy we went around to the basement to find about 18 inches of standing water at the bottom of the stairs. That was my introduction to the joy of homeownership. I ended up talking the fire department into coming over and pump out 90% of the water. Then I figure it out the pressure regulator had failed and I was getting 150psi to the water heater. That caused the pressure relief valve in my water heater which was located in the basement to spew water to the tune of several thousand gallons into the basement and that was the beginning of my side gig as a house plumber. :annoyed:
