We got a call from our bank letting us know that Farmers had bought out MetLife, and as a result our house insurance was going up. It actually tripled! so we ended up with progressive, which was a bit of a challenge because of all the flooding happening in the North East, but we got it done. Last year I switched our vehicles over to Progressive from MetLife, because even with our "discounts" I was paying more to insure my truck than a guy I work with who insures his son, has had 3 at fault accidents in the last year. I saved about $1000 a year to swap.

Somebody mentioned a dishwasher? Had a small leak, I crammed some o-rings in with it last night and got it to stop leaking.

I live up North, Have a slab under the house (no basement, but a root cellar), and there's talk of a hurricane hitting the coast this weekend. At least you don't have to plow snow!

My wife is my accountant. Has been for 40 years. She must do a good job as our credit is good and the bills are paid on time and I get a little spending money every month. But, she told me to watch it? I am watching it lol.
I feel I am a consultant in this relationship lol. She brings me in for advice on investments, financing, retirement, etc. All the normal stuff? She has always done that and I gladly let her. Admin is my weak side. It is her strong suit.

Cash? Who sends cash in the mail

Resend it, I'll let you know if I get it the second time :anonymous:

That's the biggest deer I've seen on that farm, that's the one in N.C. I usually put corn out starting about June, wasn't able to this year due to CWD rules. The county we live in now in VA we can't put anything at all out all year, I'm saving money on corn :spending:

That's one reason I planted clover in the yard, got to clear out a food plot this winter in the woods.
