Granted this was Costco/Traeger but still applies - I ran some quick and dirty numbers on the $550 smoker when the parts were damaged and when it was all said and done, they basically broke even to have me keep the damaged and extra parts. They would have been in the hole if they'd wanted them shipped back and would have just tossed them in the dumpster anyway.

Bonus - I did the parts swapping I told them I didn't want to do and sold the other smoker to a co-worker for half price.

 

Six months later and while I'm up from 175 to 368 albums, the 1,001 is also up to 1,089.

Going from Queen to Willie Nelson to Earth, Wind and Fire makes for an interesting mix.

 

I worked on a Traeger smoker here not long ago, it was brand new and crinkled. When I got done with it, it was less crinkled and not new

My internet is Xfinity, and I hate the price, I hate we only get 600-800mbps of our gigabit we pay for, and I hate that they have a monopoly on our area. The next best competitor is AT&T with a blistering speed of 30mbps...

I’ve replaced a pump, heating element, and door seal on our dishwasher. It needs the soap dispenser thingy replaced as well. If I buy that it’ll bring the repair total up to more than what the washer cost when we bought it!

I now have a new teaching aid for when a customer asks me: "how important is it to shim the PTO when installing it on the transmission?"

The obvious answer is "yes." But in case they don't get the idea, I can show them this and say "do you want this in your transmission? If not, pay attention."

 

Been round my whole life...
