Has anyone else had their touchscreen die? I mean it is on and I can see it, but when I try to move between say CD or FM or bluetooth it doesn't respond, so for now I am stuck on bluetooth. 2017 Tacoma. I guess the whole unit would need to be replaced. Any suggestions for an aftermarket replacement unit?

Search the forum here. Someone posted to hold the power button to try to reset the radio. I may be wrong.

Try holding the power button down until the screen goes dark, it's the equivalent of hard restarting a PC.

It fits into the premium bezel perfectly.
If you use the stock mounting brackets, you will need to drill a hole or two for a flush install. Not particularly difficult, I also used rubber washers to raise a corner or side for the OCD in me.

This. With factory brackets and 2021+ bezel they fit perfect with no trimming. I only needed to drill 2 holes in the brackets. IIRC I had to space or bend a bracket on the bottom right corner as well to get a perfect fit. I also lined the inner bezel surround with felt tape where it contacts the radio to get it to fit snug with no visible gaps or rattles. Overall was a pretty painless install though with a Maestro.
