I just wanted to follow up on my previous post regarding a P11ee code and see if anyone else with the p11ee code had any issues after getting repair done. Also, as it’s hard for me to establish a baseline of what’s “normal”, just had a few questions regarding MPG…the truck is pretty much as I got it. It’s a 2019 tacoma trd off road 6 cyl. Tires that were on it at time of purchase and still on it are Advanta atX850 lt285 75 r16 at corr3ct inflation. Never heard of these but that’s what was on it. That said, after remembering to calculate the mpg based on a full tank, I’m averaging about 13mpg. Computer on average says about same, maybe a little higher. Highest it went so far was 14 but typically stays between 13 and 14. I’d say I do about half highway and half local on any given day. Most of the posts I’ve read on the topic show people getting much better gas mileage on theirs. Where I live, you can’t get much flatter as far as the land goes, so no hills etc. so, what could be causing the crappy gas mileage? Coming from the P11ee code problem, even after repair, I’m a little paranoid that something’s still wrong or will go wrong again. There’s other things that have my attention, like throttle response. Seems off to me especially from a stop. Once it gets going, the power kicks in and it’s got good power, but off the line just seems sluggish. Makes me a little nervous pulling out into traffic. Anyway, this forum has been a godsent with all the Toyotas I’ve had over the years. Helped me through a lot of issues. This one in particular, just considering the P11ee code and repair to fix it, does the gas mileage seem off? If so, could it be related? Maybe something else. Let me add, before I got the truck fixed, highest the mpg reading was at was a little above 17. It’s going into dealer for another issue on friday, but as I live about hour away from them, I’m hoping they can look into this as well.but is there a “this” to look into does the mpg seem within range? It’s funny because I had a 2016 Tundra I loved and I got rid of because I do a lot of driving and the gas was killing me. When I saw tacomas get 19 to 20, i got this. Now I’m getting about 1 mpg better then what I was getting on my tundra, which sucks.
