Speaking of less than popular Halloween candy...

I'll never forget the time I went trick or treating as a kid and we stopped at this old lady's house. She opened the door with a huge bucket and asked "Dots or Hot Tamales?"

Like, what the heck? Where's the Reese's or Snickers?

 

Angle grinder should work ok, they just don't cut very deep. I have masonry wheels for mine that grind for smoothing rough edges too.

 

Pretty much everywhere. Though, I will say that McMasterCarr is more expensive than Fastenal.

You don't get donuts anymore?!

 

Add water. A tile saw would probably work too.

Black licorice (in small quantities) is way better than Peeps (in any quantity).

Yessir. The Y&S licorice pipes & cigars were the last penny confections made with real licorice. Shelf life was 3 months max,

 

Almost 6 feet of bolt bins, this was $225 probably 15 years ago.
Still worth every penny.

 

There used to be many little stores in residential neighborhoods, often just a room or two attached to a house.

I remember getting penny candy - asking for 15 fish, 10 hats, 5 hot balls...
As an adult the idea makes me .

Times & people were a bit different back then I think.

 

thats candy? i thought its what youd put in your kids mouth if they swear or talk back

 

Yeah, but it’s a built in lesson for kids that’s sadly gone. So much development took place. You learned social skills, money, value & it ended with treats so it’s own incentive. You could even buy single smokes too.

 

ive used those a bunch. put water in a squirt bottle and spray the blade while cutting. they work great if you keep em cool.

Re: Candy Corn

Sometime around Halloween, I'll be unstoppable against the candy corn. Like 4 heaping handfuls in a sitting.

After those handfuls, I'll be so sick of it, I won't eat it again until next year.
