Howdy! I recently bought a 2002 v6 manual for a pretty good deal because the frame seemed solid and and it ran smooth and had been inspected only about 2 weeks ago. I had my mechanic look it over and he found 2 holes in the frame that would not qualify for inspection. I factored in some $ for repairs when I bought it so it’s not too bad I think I can have the frame repaired (I’m having it looked at tomorrow). So I think it’ll still be worth the purchase (a little scary). But it seemed like the guy was friends with his mechanic that inspected it so that makes it seem sketchy and wondering if I should pressure the seller about it. Curious what y’all think.

    Welcome to the Forum.

Different States Have different Laws .

Can`t hurt to ask remember proving criminal intent is up to you. If this is a legal inspection you can go after the inspection station.

Yes some people can be that clueless .

So you never really give the truck a pre purchase inspection?
