Nice, but I’ll take the one in the back. I haven’t seen an original in years. They rotted faster than a Toyota.

Just like Toyota and Mazda, Nissan/ Datsun made some great trucks. I know their image suffered in recent years enough so that I ruled out buying a 17 Frontier when I bought my Tacoma.

I like it. I think the weels look cooler on the original. 16" and large PCD is probably why. I read one release that sounded as if the HB pkg wasn't available on King Cab, I like that it adds the over fenders with the pkg.

Reminds me of Ford doing the Heritage edition paint jobs on their F series. Although not quite accomplishing the sense of nostalgia.

Had a 2000 Frontier but it was 2WD and I moved to the mountains, traded it at 212K. Got a 2006 NISMO which was OK until the transmission went SMOD at 150K. Got it replaced, but the truck hit a real downhill slide after that. It started bucking and lost power (plus a check engine light) as I was headed to look at a low miles, one owner 2013 Tacoma. Guess what I drove home?

That sucks you had the SMOD man. Once they finally fixed that BS, the Frontiers were bulletproof workhorses.

I loved the hardbody’s. I see the glimpses of hardbody styling in the 3rd gen Frontiers but I’m not a big fan of this special package. The roll bar, etc just doesn’t fit.

I had a '91 and it was a great little truck, but I wouldn't want the same crap headlights 30 years later. Tell me those are LEDS made to look like crap halogens...

Man I love those little pick ups.

Had 1990 Mazda b2200 with a whopping 95 HP as my first vehicle. I was in grade 11 haha.

Not my truck but it looked very similar:

Those Mazdas were awesome. You could lift or lower them and they looked great. I used to love reading mini truckin as a kid in the 90s and seeing the compact trucks. There always seemed to be a Mazda. It didn’t matter how they were styled, they looked good.

Never thought of a Nissan as an option, might have to test drive one soon.
