Hello! Im replacing my totaled 2011OR with full OME BP underneath. I found a nice 2017 with 52k mi in my budget and noticed it has Kings. They dont look like theyve been abused, but its hard to tell as im in a different state and cant look directly. Im not very mechanical, so removing/rebuilding shocks would be outsourced.

Is it not advisable since i dont know how many miles are on them?

I can’t speak on if they are worth the purchase.

But from what I have researched they are some really great kit, especially off-road.
but keep in mind King Shocks have an higher rebuild intervals and stuff if you wheel frequently.
    Just food for thought.

Would you be potentially at least replacing shocks on ANY purchased-used Tacoma? If true, then long-term reliability of those Kings should not be part of the decision. Reliability of the frame and engine would be a more important question.

    My $0.02.
