I’m am so grateful when I walk out in the morning. I do grin and shake my head every day. My neighbors call it the parade float. My uncle calls it the skittles wagon. Some people think I didn’t get enough attention as a child. I laugh when people make fun of me or the truck. It’s all part of the camaraderie I don’t take anything serous. I had chrome polished wheels at first but than I got tired of them. Every year I like to change up the wheels. I think I’m going to yellow wheels next. Raceline wheels does cover the cost. Thank you Team Raceline ,Wilwood Brakes, Fabtech Motorsports. Who all have money in this truck..

At 43 in 2013 I had a widow maker 2 stents LAD n 1 more ,44 dropped again got 1 more stent. 45 and 46 back to cath lab but false calls over panic attacks.Just thinking I was dying PSD. At 43 UCI said I had 3 years left after widow maker. December 2019 had AFIB co2 ablation heart surgery to fix the short circuit that developed more heart problems. Dr Duck fixed that ! Yep that is his name…First the plumbing than the electrical.. haven’t scene an ER in 26 months. I’m 51 now and In the best shape of my life. Last months stress test I ran 8.5mph for 14.5 min up 16% grade. Professor Dawn Lombardo and her team of researchers at UCI Orange are my quain of strength and hope. They monitor my health monthly. I follow there diet and take there pills. So ya 8 years out on an LAD stent. We’ll see how far I can go before they do a bypass.

MUCHO problem >…..>……………….. ok so the Check engine has been going off ! The truck does not like the BIG NEW 32 gallon tank…I’ve been dealing with this last problem for 3monthes. It takes to long for the carbon filter to vacuum the air out for its tests and it fails on over time…. The tank is to big and the computer knows it.. So now the line that went to the tank form the carbon filter is now plugged into the “mini tank’’ I zip tied to the bottom of the bed. 3’’ pvc …The tank is now vented. I’m going to keep making the “mini tank’’ smaller until it sets off the under time vacuum purge alarm. Than I’ll make one that’s fancy…151DC024-2622-4B0C-B916-70D5177C9EC5.jpg

So the brakes went out on the truck and my fabrocation guy cut off the E-Brake cables because they were in his way when he was welding up the axle.. So I went for a ghost ride! The bs parking brake lock burst and ya thoes don’t work! So I put the truck on jack stands. Pulled the rear drums apart purchased another set of cables for 235$ and installed them. Then I took the park loc off and threw that in the trash. Now that I have cables. I can buy that big brake kit for the rear and have E-breaks still..I don’t think the cables ruin the look that bad? I’ll take safety over looks any day.. E946A7CC-52ED-470D-9AA2-7989AE77AFF3.jpgFDBC2576-8835-444D-AA4A-66EA27A358FE.jpg

I have another foot of slack. Do you think the cables are a little to close to the shocks?

Well after 8500 miles I had a RCV boot crack and leak. If I wasn’t mechanical having a truck like this would suck.. I did talk to the guys at RCV they were awesome to deal with. The boots are not under warranty, they are considered a wear item and need to be checked and replaced as needed. If I brake a CV or an axle no problem they assured me about there lifetime warranty. So overnight some boots and hope to be back out there this weekend.. C5082AD7-5647-4E30-A93D-260A4A791175.jpg

you don't want the bellows of the CV boots to be rubbing at ride height. they'll overheat and tear.
if your CV angles are severe you'll have to try some stuff like moving the shaft side clamp farther away to give the bellows more room from eachother.
