    Hey y’all,
I am going to be getting a Tacoma this spring and am here to figure out exactly what trim to get. With the price of these truck, and all vehicles, I need to make the right choice.

SR ... fewest toys, least-expensive, but much money to "mod" though you can mod yourself to the point of bankruptcy. A 4x4 in SR still is pretty fun for Off-Roading and suspension can be upgraded.

Sport ... better street suspension, few more amenities. Not the best of off-road suspension and no rear-locker.

Off-road ... good off-road suspension and selectable read-locker, plus crawl-mode and multi-terrain select. Not as good as Sport for pavement but my 2022 OR is just fine on the pavement. Pretty good "stock" to do some off-roading until you decide what modifications are really required.

Other trims for 2024 I am not sure. Other trims for 2023, Pro just seems overkill when Sport and OffRoad are enough in their classes.
