I pulled the grill, light sand with 60 grit. Wiped it down with Lysol wipes. Made sure she was dry. Used a black primer, black matte paint and matte clear coat then reinstalled. All said and done, only about an hour of work collectively. Thoughts?

Wow, 60 grit paper? Do the scratches show bad?

No, I started with 60 for a quick score (hand sanded it). Then I hit it with 120, but lightly, then wiped it down, and went straight to work on the matte black primer, then black matte paint, followed by a clear coat matte. A lot of small layers of paint. No scratches showing.
