What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Nice! I've been looking at doing the hideaway in the same spot. How does it sound?

 

My sub amp is under the seat it helps to use a few washers under the seat brackets. Fwiw

 

So, somewhere along the line I got a scratch on my mirror heater switch….

…somewhere.
Anyway, I had a scratch on the climate dial indicator from before (and you can’t by that little translucent piece of plastic), so I hopped on eBay and found a used climate switch, figuring I’d pop the cover off the mirror switch and the other piece and just swap them. Anyway, I found one with a PTS button (which my SR doesn’t have) for a good price. Then I started thinking (and that is where I start doing things I probably shouldn’t). Anyway, here we are a week later with my new voltmeter.


I think I got the dial in a flicker, all the lights are working.

 

It sounds... okay. Not great, not terrible.

It was better under the seat of my '17 access cab, but it works well enough behind the rear seat to suit me. I did have to increase the bass boost a fair amount. I suspect adding some sound deadening material in the cubby might help. I've had dual 10" subs and a 12" Bazooka Tube in other vehicles before, but my days of vibrating mirrors and rattling license plates are in the past. Nowadays I just want my music to have a more "full" sound, and the Hideaway (along with DS18 tweeters) helps with that goal even if it's not quite as potent in the back.

It was just sitting around collecting dust anyway, so I'm not out anything except a little bit of time to do the install.

 

But you have to agree the cover on the TRD intake is pretty cool looking. I've said this elsewhere: the TRD air intake is like French Lingerie...very expensive and not everyone gets to see it, but those who do get a glance appreciate it. Oh, and it adds 5 hp...for sure.

 

Stock height rear fox elites? I need to get mine bolted in one of these days.

 

Looks like he’s got a leaf upgrade.

 

Made a new skid for the trans/cases, time to go wheeling tomorrow

Finished installing ARB twin compressor in the bed rack and Vixen Air 3 gallon tank. Relocated the hose coupling next to the license plate.

 

Do you happen to have an under carriage photo to see where you mounted the air tank?

Finally got around to wiring up the amber light bar in the front bumper, still need to test it out at night (working day shift now, so a LOT less night driving and need for all these bright things... )

 

Dropped the Taco off for the rear axle replacement.

Nice little Corolla for rent.

Put on TRD Gun Metal Grey SEMA wheels today. I am selling the Trail Edition bronze wheels and tires for 1200 if anyone is in the Pueblo / Colorado Springs / Denver area. They have 3900 miles on them.

 

They look pretty good IMO...
