My Taco will be here next week (hopefully).

I'm looking for a lockable Tonneau cover, what do you have and how's your experience?

    Thanks
Edit: forgot to mention, it also needs to be very water tight/resistant as I intend to keep stuff inside.

    Thank you

If you want the tonneau itself to have a lock, Diamondback makes a nice cover. But pricey.

If you are ok with a wire locking mechanism, look at Bakflip and Lomax

I had a Roll N Lock and used it with no problems for at least 10 years on my old 2nd gen.

I had a roll-n-lock and it was fantastic.

Undercover is a solid option as well, if you're okay with a one-piece.

Definitely check out the undercover or other one piece options that wrap over the bed sides. Lots of the folding ones sit on top, and rely solely on a but of weatherstripping against the uneven bed rails to keep water out.

I have a diamondback cover and like it. Have had it for 3 years. If you go that route, my advice would be to not bother with the HD. I got the HD and it's overkill for me, wish I would've just got the SE. Also, it does a good job of keep majority of water out, but is certainly not waterproof. Also if you drive while it's raining, water will get kicked up and come in from underneath by the tailgate as well. Since it doesn't rollup or anything it can be a pain on occasion to load stuff in and out. However I keep it locked and have strapped items down on top of it to carry and it has definitely served its purpose. As soon as my contour canopy comes in I'll be looking to sell it as I recently decided that the cover is great, but I just would like to have more room while keeping stuff covered and have found that for camping and other activities we enjoy there's just not quite enough space to keep everything under the security of the diamondback. Hope this helps.

Here's my Undercover SE on a 2014 DCLB TRD Sport. Keeps water out pretty well.20230915_104007.jpg

I had a ReTrax on my 2005 Tacoma. Quality product with no leaks. Ditto on my 2022 Pro. Only disadvantage I can see is that you lose a small portion of the bed nearest the cab as the cover retracts into a spiral cannister.

    HTH.

I just got a Diamondback, and so far, I am fairly impressed. It's expensive and long lead time though, I got an outlet factory second.

I like that it does not have another lock/key. Just use the existing tailgate lock.

If someone really wants to get in, they could saw through with an angle grinder or a plunge cut saw, or destroy the truck and cover with brute force and a lever+inclined plane, but it feels about as secure as anything possibly can be within reasonable measures.
