Potential new member!

Hello all,
I’m going to look at a used 2007 Tacoma base manual. About 50k miles, decent price in my opinion.
After some research I’ve seen several mentions of rust being an issue in this generation of Tacoma, so I will be taking a good look at the undercarriage.

What other trouble spots should I be looking for?

I figure that 50k miles is barely getting started for a well maintained Toyota, so how do I tell if it is well maintained?

 

Well, nevermind. Dealership just let me know that the frame is seriously rusted out. No Tacoma for me.

There is nothing particularly magical about Tacomas mechanically. But if you don't have the confidence for a DIY inspection, pay the $ for a private pre purchase inspection. Not from the seller of course, but a reliable shop that you now have time to find.
