I have a 2005 tacoma that has been having electrical issues for the last few weeks (brake light flashing with blinkers, turn signals not working, ABS light coming on when using left blinker etc). I think I have FINALLY found the short in the trailer connector (see pictures). I never haul anything and am hoping to just remove the whole thing as it’s quite corroded. My question is this- what do I do with the wires that go to the Reese connector? Thanks in advance TW!

Follow them back to where they are plugged in. The connections are usually in behind the tail lights, If you are lucky they are just plug and play and easy to remove.
