Headed into camp



Christmas Valley Oregon. That diesel heater was clutch as the nights dropped to single digits. The tent stayed at least 70° all night on the lowest setting and I ran it non stop for about 36 hours on 1.5 gallons of diesel. I don’t know why I never added a diesel heater to my kit before. It was nice drying my boots at night, warming my socks in the morning, and closing up a dry at the end of the trip!

I think there are better options that cost a little less, but it was the only one I could get delivered in time for my trip since I waited until the last minute to order it. I have a dual battery set-up you can see on my build thread below. I think a good lithium power generator would work also.

I took the trd pro wheels from my wife’s 4Runner and am using them with snow tires for my truck this year.

Has anyone else noticed that the 4T3 "Pyrite Mica" touch-up paint from the dealership doesn't really match for shit?

 

Yup. It’s a pretty terrible match.

 

At least it's not just me. I was wondering if I got some from a bad batch or mislabeled or something. It's right there on the line between "Now I need touch-up paint for my touch-up paint" and "Eh, close enough".

 

Yes, I agree. Its not a very good match at all. Very noticable on the truck. I got spots of tough up paint all over my truck too haha

 

Just picked her up yesturday.

 

Just threw some decals on my new to me 2015 pyrite mica. I love the retro look of the TOYOTA on the tailgate and the trd tricolor stripes on the bed side look better than I hoped. I was unsure if they would clash...but I like it. The previous owner had removed the trd 4x4 decal and I wanted to add some style.
