installed an amp in a 3rd gen tacoma. i get a hissing noise coming from the speakers. one installer said he has a problem installing amp/speakers in toyota w/factory head unit and doesnt know how to get the hissing sound to go away. some redit post said "cheap circuitry in the OEM Toyota Entune head units"

i have a lc2i. pioneer amp. is there some sort of resistor or relay or something i could add somewhere to help?

this hissing noise is only noticeable when the sound is turned to 0. i dont want to buy a aftermarket head unit would prefer another option if anyone knows any tricks. thanks again

If you unplug the signal wires on your amp and still have hiss, it’s your amplifier. It could also be a consequence of gain structure. My factory radio is dead quiet so I know it’s possible.

Only unplug/connect signal wires with the system off.
