Aftermarket wheels...that's it.

For the cost of Michelins you would not expect a quality control problem. Hopefully they just need re-balanced and all is well.

So I fixed the problem. The wheels were torqued down incorrectly. I found some lug nuts as high as 125ft lbs and some at 100 ect. So I loosened all the lugs and torqued them down to the correct value of 83ft lbs and that fixed the shimmy problem.

Breakaway torque is higher than what a bolt is torqued to, I’m not sure if it could get that high though. I wonder if they weren’t torqued in the right sequence.
