Hi folks, I’m new here and looking for some guidance. I’ve own 2 vehicles in my 68 years, both 2wd 4 cylinder single cab models…1 made it up the AlCan from Seattle to Fairbanks and my latest one has helped me remodel 1 house and build another…my sons call it the POS truck but it’s like a history book, shows it’s scars, like me!
I’m trying to replace my fuel filter cause I never did for 160000 miles and I recently lost power…it’s my first go to before I consider the fuel pump.
It’s a 1999 4 cylinder 2wd single cab and being a diy guy ($$ is tight) I’m giving it a go…however the fuel pump is not so much below the chassis as along the side of the engine and looks extremely difficult to access. I’m wondering if anyone out there has some experience or a youtube that can guide me this first go. Thanks for any advice!!
    Best, Peter

Easiest access is probably through the wheel well. Beyond that, patience:)
