First two hours of the day were mowing the lawn, then had to go out and get the engine and gear oil (already have the WS), then get all the tools out, didn’t start till past noon. Was already halfway beat when I started. Oh well.

Picture from my previous post. If you have a regular cab, buy the 6.5" speakers. They fit the adapters that you get from https://www.crutchfield.com/

Truck sits closer to level now and rides a hell of a lot better. Well worth it.

    minor tweaks
I swapped out the serpentine belt, plugs, pcv, air and cabin filters, did an oil change and cleaned the MAF and TB. I saw some dried antifreeze crusted up on the WP seal area so a new pump is on order along with a couple new new hoses and all new pulleys. The bearing play is barely detectable but it's there, they've got 140K on them so I can't complain. I cleaned the engine bay since I was already elbows deep in the grime.

The same shit everyone else has.
    Friendly reminder…..

Mark all of your alignment cams because it makes it 300x easier to reset them back to the right spot.

    upload_2023-9-18_19-28-12.jpg

I’ve been fighting with this one for a while now. No matter how tight I crank it down, I can still knock this corner out of alignment if I hit a bump/hole the right way.

Ive gone as far as replacing the hardware and cam bolt. I don’t wanna do tabs or anything because I love having complete adjustability and I have zero issue with the other 3 corners.

I bought a set of u joints and center support bearing one time off of ebay about 2 years ago they're still going strong. I feel like eBay is hit or miss though so maybe look at the vendor's rating.

I used ram air scoop for an aftermarket intake (volant or afe work),piped to the stock airbox. It's been on for years and all sorts of weather conditions without issue. Bonus: It fits with a csf rad (2nd pic)

$92 is a really good deal for all the parts. I paid $144 thru Amazon. But they are also actual Spicer parts. I have heard that even though they say Spicer they can send you knock-offs from somewhere else. I think I am more comfortable with Amazon in that regard. Its easier to return stuff if they are not right. Just read the descriptions carefully. I am not so sure about eBay.

I had a similar issue. Mine was making a knocking sound from the LCA, i tried to tighten the bolts and they were def way out of spec. But the knock always came back after a few hundred miles. And the bolts were always out of spec. Mechanic said i needed new bolts, LCAs, etc... had all that work done and the noise disappeared. Now its back again and the bolts are out of spec....again. Seems to really be an issue on the passenger side...can't figure it out.
