    Good evening, peoples!

$3.50-ish around here, I found a Citgo distribution hub that has pumps, they are usually .10/gal cheaper then anyone else and the gas is good quality, everything runs better when I fill up at that station.

It monsooned on Sunday, so I made a mess in the basement. The joys of being a bachelor, no one to bitch at you while you make progress on a project!

Yesterday I got the joist extension hung up. Today I got the 1st stringer in place.

I grabbed 2 inexpensive hand planes at HD, they're not bad for the $$. I had tried a horrible freight plane earlier in the week, I shouldn't have wasted the fuel to return it, it was just a piece of junk. ( I know, I know.... horrible freight, 'nuf said.)

No experience with them, however that's a pretty big savings. I would check with some other carriers to see what else is out there, and I could be sure I was comparing equal coverages. There's no standard default for what insurance carriers offer with each policy.

All I can say is that my buddy that owns a body shop- he won't even deal with Nationwide or USAA.. apparently they are both notoriously bad at paying for proper repairs and never wanting to use OEM parts, even when the aftermarket parts don't fit properly.

Good on you for shopping around. I can relate, as I did the same thing this spring. I left the lizard company and went to Erie, between my home owners and cars my overall bill went down by almost $900 and the rates are locked in. I got more coverage with both policies and lower deductibles.

i went to a local agency who work with several carriers and that is the best quote they got for me. The $700 is just an estimate assuming SF jacks me for another 20% more in 6 months which seems to be their current trend. the quote from nationwide was for a full year
ew. thanks for the feedback. i would definitely want 100% guarantee on getting things fixed up correctly should the need ever arise. i would be a nervous wreck hauling the camper around if i knew repairs weren't OEM and possibly not up to the task of hauling the extra weight around.

Evening folks! We pulled into Durango just after dark so not sure what my thoughts are going to be about the area till morning but it was a pretty ride in. I’m going to the local Toyota place to get the first service. We left home with about 1900 miles on the truck and it flipped 5000 a few miles before we got here I was able to get the 8:00 appointment. So the breakfast in bed for the wife and boy’s going to be delayed o_O

    :hattip:Good morning everyone.

    Coffee is brewed.

    Enjoy your day.

 Good grief. Our Governor rescinded the state gas tax (.32) for the rest of the year. Gasoline prices are $3.25 ish and diesel fuel is about $1 more. Not good, not good at all. :annoyed:

Beautiful pictures of Bryce Canyon Tom! I agree with you, it’s a spectacular place to visit.

Very interesting to hear this. Back in around 2009/2010 time frame, my [now ex] wife had a spinout on some black ice and damaged the front end of her SUV. I had USAA (still have them), we took the vehicle to a local body shop, the Manager told us "oh, you're lucky to have USAA, they are the least picky insurance company we deal with, they cover more things than most companies, they always approve OEM parts, and they make us give the highest warranty on our work to you [the customer]". Maybe some difference in what area of the country? No idea. In the 20ish years I have had USAA, that is the one and only claim I have ever had to file, so I don't have any other frame of reference.

/Adding: About a month after we had my ex's SUV repaired, the front grille started to bubble up/chrome plating started peeling off the plastic. We took it back to the body shop, they replaced it without question, again citing the USAA requirement on warranty for their work and parts used, to protect the customer.

Fuel prices in my area are around $3.35/gal for 87 octane (no ethanol)
    $4.40/gal diesel

They were up to $3.59/gal a few weeks ago. Lowest I have seen since we moved here in August 2022 has been $2.89/gal for gas.
