@Saturnine Top of Grey mountain from our chat earlier
    IMG_20220716_102728612_HDR.jpg

This is part of the same trail as this video. IIRC it's Money shot trail. dont recall the name of the other one. most people run Ebikes to get up and then bomb down these trails.

First 5 seconds is that 40ft drop i was talking about, the dream trail is what i used to hike down from across the 3 peaks of grey mountain

Y'know it's only $50 to bring your bike along with you as a checked bag :D

Just shy of a 30km day, so a proper day bike with a nasty uphill first thing in the morning. (implying start is in dundas fvalley at Freewheel.
    upload_2023-7-14_7-52-17.png
the "down" side is i'd need to most likely get a panier rack/ pack for the bike and i just got rid of my old rack a few days ago....

edit: looking at the blurb a bit more, they recommend gravel/ mountain bikes, since "riding off the beaten path". also an alternate "more adventurous" route is possible. Have a support vehicle and all. Overall a pretty sweet deal.

Now to look at new mounting bags

gotta test the waters early! and only a partial shake down. i'm realizing the hammock setup is light weight but too bulky. however the MEC camper 2 tent i've owned for years fits but i might need to look into something lighter weight....

Curse the ultralite guys... let us have the Durston X-mid pro 2s for dirt cheap!

Coincidentally, only 2 tickets left for the event. You officially in or out?

I am gauging interest in an overnight/weekender at Turkey point last weekend of October for some day/night biking and camping. I know it's a provincial park and there's no 'froading but it is what it is and everything will close shortly. That's the last weekend the park is open.

not 100% sure i am available for that weekend but i am interested and will know as we get closer. i would be even more interested if we were riding better (and less tick ridden) trails like SCMBA trails near horseshoe or the copeland forest.
